Hey devs!

When I first started programming for Android (and professional career in general), the array of terminologies and acronyms felt overwhelming. 

It was like trying to navigate a maze without a map.

And I was too afraid to ask senior team members what exactly does that mean. And I couldn't just Google this stuff, because some of those acronyms were mentioned in conversations... and I didn't know how to spell them (I know. Stupid.)

 I've compiled a handy cheat sheet of essential acronyms that every Android developer should know.

1. DI (Dependency Injection) simplifies managing component dependencies, aiding in maintenance and testing.
2. KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) promotes simplicity in software design for better efficiency.
3. MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel), a design pattern, effectively separates business logic from UI.
4. SOLID principles guide object-oriented design for robust, adaptable code.
5. REST (Representational State Transfer) is key for stateless communication in networked apps.
6. AAC (Android Architecture Components) offer libraries for creating well-structured, maintainable apps.
7. OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) focuses on using data and code-packed objects.
8. DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) encourages the use of reusable code.
9. API (Application Programming Interface) outlines how software components interact.
10. JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is used for easy data interchange.
11. SDK (Software Development Kit) provides essential tools for app development.
12. UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) focuses on the design and usability of an app.
13. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) forms the foundation of web data communication.
14. DAO (Data Access Object) abstracts database or persistence mechanism interactions.
15. XML (Extensible Markup Language) defines rules for encoding readable documents.
16. IDE (Integrated Development Environment) consolidates vital software development tools.
17. DDD (Domain-Driven Design) - An approach to software development that centers on complex needs by connecting the implementation to an evolving model.
18. TDD (Test-Driven Development) - A software development process that relies on the repetition of a very short development cycle: first the developer writes a failing test case that defines a desired improvement or new function, then produces the minimum amount of code to pass that test.
19. CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) - A method to frequently deliver apps to customers by introducing automation into the stages of app development.
20. ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) - A technique for converting data between incompatible systems using object-oriented programming languages.
21. PWA (Progressive Web App) - A type of application software delivered through the web, built using common web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Remember, every expert was once a beginner, grappling with the same jargon and concepts that might seem overwhelming to you now.

So if you're just starting... I hope you learned something new.
